9 Delicious Home-Made Popsicles

There is nothing more refreshing than a fruit-infused popsicle. These delicious looking popsicles are healthy and easy to make. These fresh-tasting treats feature original and mouth-watering flavors. Impress your guests with these colorful sweets at barbecues or summer parties. 
1. Striped fruit and yogurt
Make a vanilla-yogurt mix by combining:1 cup greek or plain yogurt
2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Make raspberry puree by blending:1 pint raspberries
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon white wine
How to prepare the stripes:Pour the first layer into the popiscle mold and freeze for an hour.
Remove from the freezer, and continue adding layers every hour.
Freeze overnight.
2. Banana colada
Ingredients:4-5 bananas
2 cans coconut milk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 tsp salt
How to prepare:Mix the bananas, coconut milk, vanilla and salt in a blender. Blend until it’s mixed.
Pour the mixture into popsicle molds and freeze for at least 6 hours.
Melt the cup of chocolate chips in a bowl over a saucepan of boiling water.
Dip your frozen popsicles in the chocolate sauce and freeze for 5 minutes.
3. Strawberry shortcake
Ingredients:6 cups of strawberries
3 cups vanilla yogurt
1 cup of chopped macadamia nuts
How to prepare:Blend strawberries in a food processor.
Layer yogurt and strawberry puree in popsicle molds.
Freeze for at least 6 hours.
Remove from the popsicle molds and roll the popsicles in macadamia nuts.
4. Cookies and cream
Ingredients:14 chocolate wafer cookies (4 oz/125g)
1/4 cup fine sugar
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup milk
1 cup full cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
How to prepare:Crumble the cookies in a bowl.
In another bowl stir the sugar and water until the sugar dissolves.
Add the sour cream, milk, cream, vanilla and stir.
Add the crumbled cookies to the mix.
Pour this mixture into popsicle molds and freeze for an hour.
Add sticks to the popsicles and freeze for at least another 3-4 hours.
5. Avocado
Ingredients:1/2 cup sugar
1 cup water
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 ripe avocados
pinch of salt
How to prepare:Bring water and sugar to a boil in a pan over medium heat to make a syrup.
Once the sugar has dissolved take the syrup out of the pan and let it cool.
Add the syrup together with the avocado, salt, and lemon juice in a blender.
Blend until its creamy enough to pour.
Add the mixture to the popsicle molds and freeze for at least 5 hours.
6. Summer berry and mint
Ingredients:1/3 cup sugar1/3 cup water2 tablespoons lemon juice2 tablespoons fresh mint, mincedHow to prepare:In a bowl combine raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, mint and lemon juice.
Mash the berries with the back of a wooden spoon.
Let the mixture rest for 30 minutes.
Combine the water and sugar in a saucepan to make a syrup.
Let the mixture simmer until the sugar dissolves.
Let cool for 5 minutes.
Combine the syrup with the berry mixture.
Pour the mixture into the popsicle molds and freeze for 6 hours.
7. Kool-aid and yogurt
Ingredients:Plain or vanilla yogurt
Kool-Aid liquid drink mix
How to prepare:Squirt some Kool-aid drink mix into the yogurt.
Stir until it’s blended into one color.
Fill your popsicle molds with the colorful yogurt.
Freeze for 4 to 6 hours.
8. Green tea coconut
Ingredients:1 13.5oz (400ml) can of coconut milk
½ cup coconut or almond milk
2-3 teaspoons matcha powder
¼ cup agave nectar
How to prepare:In a bowl whisk coconut milk until it’s smooth.
In another bowl mix 1-2 tablespoons milk with matcha powder.
Add the matcha mixture to the whisked coconut milk.
Add agave and stir until the mixture is smooth.
Pour the mixture into popsicle molds.
Freeze for at least 5 hours.
9. Spicy Watermelon

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups seedless watermelon
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 3 jalapeño peppers

How to prepare:

  1. Cut a watermelon in half and then into slices.
  2. Remove the rind, and cut the slices into 1 inch cubes.
  3. Peel the tomatoes.
  4. Blend both the watermelon and tomatoes.
  5. Use a strainer to remove the large chunks.
  6. Thinly slice the jalapeño peppers and add them to the tomato-watermelon mixture.
  7. Refrigerate this mixture for an hour to infuse the juice with heat.
  8. Pour the mixture into popsicle molds and freeze for 6 hours.
